What is the natural habitat for an angelfish?

Angelfish are native to the freshwater rivers and streams of South America, including the Amazon and Orinoco basins, and various blackwater rivers like the Rio Negro. They inhabit shallow, slow-moving waters, such as flooded forests, swamps, and ponds, where there is an abundance of aquatic vegetation, plants, and debris for shelter.
