How does a starfish walk?

A starfish moves by using the tube feet located at the end of each arm. The tube feet are small, suction-cupped structures that can be extended or retracted. To walk, the starfish extends the tube feet and attaches them to the surface on which it is moving. Then, it contracts the tube feet, pulling the body forward. The starfish can move in any direction by using its tube feet.

In addition to using its tube feet, a starfish can also use its arms to move by pulling itself forward with its muscles. This type of movement is called "arm crawling". Starfish can also move by swimming, using the waves produced by their arms.
