Why is sprite zero pH different from that of sprite?
Sprite Zero has a slightly lower pH than regular Sprite, typically around 3.25 compared to 3.30 for regular Sprite. This difference is due to the use of different sweeteners in the two beverages. Regular Sprite is sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), while Sprite Zero uses a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium.
HFCS is less acidic than these artificial sweeteners, so its presence in regular Sprite contributes to a slightly higher pH.
