Can shrimp survive without a sea anemone?
Some species of shrimp do have a symbiotic relationship with sea anemones, however, shrimp can certainly survive without a sea anemone. In fact, most species of shrimp do not live in association with sea anemones. Shrimp are able to find food and shelter without the need for a sea anemone. They can live in a variety of habitats including sandy or muddy bottoms, coral reefs, and even the intertidal zone.
