What is jockey oat?
Jockey oat (_Avena strigosa_) is an oat species which is well adapted to acidic,infertile soils. It has been proposed to be utilized for the production of biofuels, specifically cellulosic ethanol. Jockeys oat has not been registered as a crop plant as it is too invasive.
