How long can you leave out cooked Turkey bacon?
It's generally not recommended to leave cooked turkey bacon out at room temperature for more than two hours.
Here's why:
* Bacteria growth: Bacteria can multiply rapidly at room temperature, increasing the risk of foodborne illness.
* Safety guidelines: The USDA recommends refrigerating cooked turkey bacon within two hours of cooking.
If you're unsure about the safety of cooked turkey bacon, it's always best to err on the side of caution and discard it.
To be safe, it's best to:
* Refrigerate cooked turkey bacon as soon as it cools down.
* Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
* If you're unsure, throw it out.
It's better to be safe than sorry!
