How do you make the meatloaf from Betty Crocker cookbook?
Here's the recipe for meatloaf from the Betty Crocker cookbook:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9-inch by 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, egg, milk, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar. Stir until well mixed.
4. Spread half of the meat mixture evenly into the prepared loaf pan. Top with half of the sauce mixture. Repeat with the remaining meat and sauce mixtures.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until a thermometer inserted into the center of the meatloaf reads 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
