Do you cut back to ground leve crepe myrtle in the fall?
No, crepe myrtles should not be cut back to ground level in the fall. Crepe myrtles should only be pruned lightly or selectively in late winter or early spring. Cutting them back to the ground in the fall can encourage new growth that won't have time to mature before the winter cold and could be damaged or killed by frost.
