How long can your fish last before and after treatment for ick?

Before treatment:

* In general, most fish can survive for several days with ick without treatment. However, the sooner treatment is started, the better the chances of survival.

* If the ick infection is mild, fish may be able to survive for up to a week without treatment.

* If the ick infection is severe, fish may only be able to survive for a few days without treatment.

After treatment:

* After treatment, most fish will be able to recover completely from ick.

* However, it is important to continue to monitor the fish for any signs of recurrence.

* If any signs of recurrence are observed, treatment should be restarted immediately.

Some species of fish are more susceptible to ick than others. If you see signs of disease in your fish, be sure to consult with a veterinarian to determine the best course of treatment.
