Can you put two algae eaters in the same tank?
It depends on the type of algae eater and the size of the tank. Some types of algae eaters, such as Siamese algae eaters, are territorial and may fight with each other if they are kept in the same tank. Other types of algae eaters, such as Otocinclus catfish, are schooling fish and can be kept together in groups.
The size of the tank is also important when considering whether or not to put two algae eaters in the same tank. A small tank may not have enough space for two algae eaters to coexist peacefully. A larger tank is more likely to provide enough space for the algae eaters to avoid each other if necessary.
If you are not sure whether or not two algae eaters can be kept together in the same tank, it is best to ask your local fish store for advice.
