How does salmons move?

Salmon:

Adult salmon migrate upstream (upstream) against strong currents, sometimes leaping through waterfalls of incredible heights, to return to their freshwater natal streams or lakes with the objective of spawning their eggs in shallow gravel nest or redds created and excavated by females (salmon females).

They utilize their powerful bodies and tails, propelling themselves with vigorous swimming techniques known as "tail-flipping" or "body bending," navigating the turbulent waters and overcoming challenging cascades on their incredible journey upstream (upstream).
