Where are swimmerets located on the crayfish?
The swimmerets of a crayfish are located underneath its abdomen, also called the pleon, and are the appendages responsible for swimming. Crayfish have five pairs of swimmerets, with the fifth pair being modified in males for clasping females during mating.
