Can you keep a sunfish in 50 gallon aquarium?

Sunfishes, also commonly called bluegills or brim, are not suitable for a 50 gallon aquarium. Sunfish are active swimmers and need a lot of space to move around, at least 100 gallons. They are also messy eaters, so a larger aquarium will help to keep the water quality from deteriorating too quickly.
