How long do you cook fish stock?
Fish stock typically needs to be simmered for at least 30 minutes, but ideally for 1-2 hours to extract the full flavor from the fish bones and vegetables. For a richer stock, you can simmer it for up to 3 hours. Keep in mind that the longer you simmer the stock, the more concentrated the flavor will become. Remember to skim off any impurities or foam that rises to the surface during the simmering process. This will result in a clear and flavorful fish stock.
