How to Grill Salmon in the Oven
Grilled salmon takes a short amount of time to prepare and to cook. You can use your favorite seasonings to spice up the fish, as almost all herbs and spices complement salmon. When grilled in the oven, salmon goes well with a green salad, pasta, seasonal vegetables and white wine.
Things You'll Need
- Broiler pan
- 1/8 cup vegetable oil
- Paper towel
- 1 tsp. lemon pepper
- 1 cup butter
- Saucepan
- Seasonings
- Wide spatula
- Serving dish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Grease a broiler pan by putting vegetable oil on a paper towel and rubbing the towel on the broiler pan. Place the salmon on the pan.

Sprinkle the salmon with lemon pepper.

Melt the butter in a saucepan on the stove top. Add 1/2 tsp. of each of your favorite seasonings to the melted butter, and stir. Consider garlic, thyme, pepper and basil. Never add salt to salmon before it is cooked or while it is cooking. It will dry out the fish.

Pour half of the butter mixture over the salmon.

Bake the salmon for six minutes. Carefully turn the fish over, using a wide spatula.

Pour the remaining butter mixture on the salmon, and cook for another six minutes. Take the broiler pan out of the oven, and transfer the salmon to a dish, again using a wide spatula.
