How to Make Five Baked Bean Casserole
If you love baked beans, you'll love this five-bean baked medley. It's like baked beans only with more variety and much tastier.
Things You'll Need
- 1/2 lb. bacon slices, cut up
- 1 med. onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. vinegar (apple cider)
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. can pork and beans
- 1 lb. can chick peas
- 1 lb. can butter beans
- 1 lb. can kidney beans
- 1 lb. can green lima beans
Instructions

Drain all five cans of beans and pour into a large casserole dish.

In large skillet over medium heat, fry bacon and onion until onion is tender. Drain bacon pieces and set aside.

In bacon grease and onion, stir in brown sugar, vinegar, garlic salt, mustard and salt. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add simmered mixture to the drained beans and lay the bacon pieces on top.

Bake at 350 degrees F for about one hour.
