How to Make Sausage Balls
Sausage balls are easy to make and surprisingly filling. Your whole family is sure to enjoy them. Follow these simple steps to make your family some tasty sausage balls for dinner.
Things You'll Need
- 1 lb sausage
- green onion
- shredded cheese
- biscuit mix
How to Make Sausage Balls
-
Place one pound uncooked sausage in a mixing bowl large enough to hold all listed ingredients.
-
Add 1 cup of biscuit mix, shredded cheese, and chopped green onion to the sausage. Type of cheese is a personal preference, however, cheddar and mozzarella work very well and taste great. The amount of cheese and onion is also optional.
-
Use your hands to mix all ingredients together. This will allow the biscuit mix to set well with the sausage and the balls will stay together better. Do not use a mixer.
-
Begin rolling the mixture into balls. Make them about the size of golf balls to ensure they cook through while they are baking.
-
Put the sausage balls on a baking pan and place in a 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes. Check them often. They are done when the outside turns dark brown. Turn them after about 10 minutes for best results.
