How to Eat Shish Kabob (4 Steps)
Shish kabob is pieces of meat, seafood or a combination of both and vegetables cooked on a skewer. They are easy to make on a grill, especially when cooking for a group of guests. If you have never eaten sish kabob, you may be a little perplexed as to how to properly consume this entree. Proper sish kabob etiquette is to use a fork to remove the food from the skewers before eating. Never eat sish kabob by pulling the food off the skewer. This can lead to disastrous results.
Things You'll Need
- Shish kabob
- Plate
- Fork
- Knife
Instructions
-
Place the shish kabob on a plate atop rice or beside other side dishes.
-
Lift one end of the shish kabob with one hand and steady the opposite tip of the kabob on the plate.
-
Use a fork to remove the food from the skewer. Start at the bottom of the skewer and remove one piece of food at a time. Never try to remove more than one piece of food, this can result in an unfortunate mishap. Remove only a few pieces of food at a time.
-
Eat the removed pieces of kabob using a fork and knife. When the skewer is empty, place it on the side of the plate, never on the table or atop linen.
