How were buffalo wings made when it was first invented?

There is no such thing as buffalo wings. The chicken wing dish known as buffalo wings originated in Buffalo, New York, in 1964, when Teressa Bellissimo served leftover chicken wings that had been deep-fried and tossed in a spicy sauce made from cayenne pepper and butter to her son Dominic and his friends. The wings became popular with the group, and Bellissimo began serving them regularly at the Anchor Bar, which she and her husband Frank owned.
