How far can the guinea fowl fly?

The guinea fowl is a ground-dwelling bird and is generally not known for its flying abilities. However, they are capable of short flights, or rather glides, typically up to a maximum distance of about 200 meters (650 feet). They primarily use these flights to reach tall roosting spots in trees at night or to escape from danger. Guinea fowls are not migratory and usually move around on foot, covering distances through running and walking.
