How do you install drain baskets into new kitchen sink?

Tools and materials:

- Pliers

- Adjustable wrench

- Plumber's putty

- Utility knife

- Tape measure

- Pencil

- Drain baskets

Instructions

1. Measure the sink drain holes. Use the tape measure to measure the diameter of the drain holes in your sink.

2. Apply plumber's putty. Apply plumber's putty around the rim of the drain basket, where it will make contact with the sink. The putty will help seal the drain and prevent water from leaking.

3. Install the drain baskets. Place the drain baskets into the sink drain holes, and press down firmly to ensure that the plumber's putty is evenly distributed.

4. Secure the drain baskets. Place the locknuts onto the drain baskets, below the sink. Use pliers to tighten the locknuts until the drain baskets are snugly in place, being sure not to overtighten and crack the sink.

5. Test the drain baskets. Turn on the water to test the drain baskets. Check for any leaks around the edges of the drain baskets. If you see any leaks, tighten the locknuts until the leaks stop.
