Is haagen daz a German ice cream?
Haagen-Dazs is not a German ice cream. It was founded in 1960 by Reuben Mattus and his wife Rose Mattus in the Bronx, New York. The company's name is derived from the Danish words "Haagen" (meaning "beach") and "Dazs" (a portmanteau of the Danish word "dansk", meaning "Danish", and the English word "ice cream").
