How to Broil Chicken Strips (5 Steps)
Broiled chicken strips are a very popular protein source, especially among those who are on low-fat or low-calorie diets. Unfortunately, broiled chicken strips are often dry, bland and sometimes have a rubbery texture - but they don't have to be. With some knowledge, you can broil chicken strips using a method that will keep the chicken strips moist and delicious.
Things You'll Need
- 3 lbs. chicken breasts
- Boiler
- Aluminum foil
- Baking tray
Instructions
-
Dry the chicken breasts thoroughly with paper towels. Keep the skin on the breasts, or remove them. Use a knife to divide the chicken breasts into two sections. Cut both sections into chicken strips. The chicken strips should be about 2-inches long, and 1/2-inch wide.
-
Apply olive oil, marinade, Italian dressing, or cooking spray on the skinless chicken breasts. Place the chicken breasts in a bowl and use cloth to cover it. Leave it in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours.
-
Use herbs, salt and pepper to add more flavor to the chicken breasts. Turn on the boiler and wait 9 to 10 minutes. Line the baking tray with aluminum foil, and place the seasoned chicken breasts on the tray.
-
Place the tray inside the broiler after preheating it for 10 minutes. Broil the chicken breasts for 10 minutes on each side. Continue cooking the chicken strips if they are not a light brown color.
-
Use a spatula to remove the chicken strips from the tray covered. Place the hot pieces in a serving dish, and cover it with a cloth. Place the serving dish in a warm place.
