Smoothies

• Smoothies are typically a mixture of fruit, fruit juice and ice. Some recipes call for yogurt to produce a richer, smoother texture. To create a smoothie with pineapple juice and peaches, pour the juice into a blender. Add a chopped peach, along with plain yogurt and a chopped ripe banana if you want a creamier smoothie. Finish the drink with a handful of crushed ice or ice cubes, and blend until smooth. Serve the drink in chilled glasses garnished with pineapple wedges.

Punch

• A bowl of punch is a traditional party beverage, and can be made from any combination of fruits and juices that you enjoy. To make a pineapple juice and peach punch, combine a large can of pineapple juice and one or two 12-ounce cans of peach nectar. Add a 1-liter bottle of club soda or ginger ale and a 1-liter bottle of vodka or rum. For a non-alcoholic punch, substitute a second bottle of soda for the alcohol.

Soft Drinks

• Carbonated drinks are refreshing on a hot day, and tropical additions to commercial soft drinks make them even more enjoyable. Muddle a peach slice with a few mint leaves in the bottom of a chilled glass. Pour a bit of pineapple juice over the peach slice and top it all with lemon-lime soda or ginger ale. Garnish with a sprig of mint or a peach slice for a tropical soft drink.

Cocktails

• Pineapple juice and peaches pair well with tropical liquors, such as rum and tequila. Soak several peach wedges in spiced rum for a few hours or overnight. Mix pineapple juice, peach nectar and spiced rum in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain it into a glass, then garnish with the marinated peach wedge. From this basic cocktail, experiment with other liquors, juices and mixers to create your own tropical combinations.
