Do tea plants grow in the ground?

Tea plants are typically grown in the ground, but they can also be grown in containers. When grown in the ground, tea plants can grow up to 20 feet tall. They prefer acidic, well-drained soil with a pH between 4.5 and 6.0. Tea plants also need full sun to produce the best leaves for tea.
