Does drinking artificially sweetened tea count the same as water?
Artificially sweetened tea does not count the same as water. While artificially sweetened tea does not contain as many calories as regular tea, it does contain artificial sweeteners, which are processed substances that are not natural to the body. Consuming large quantities of artificial sweeteners has been linked to negative health effects, such as increased risk of certain cancers and metabolic disorders. Additionally, artificially sweetened tea often contains additives and preservatives, which may further impact overall health. Therefore, drinking artificially sweetened tea should be moderated and cannot be considered an adequate substitute for drinking water.
