Registering Your Starbucks Gift Card
A Starbucks gift card comes with a lot more than a promise of credit for a certain amount of dollars in coffee. It can help you earn free coffee in the future through the company's rewards program. Entering the program is as simple as registering your card, and once you register a card you will be able to add more money to it, view a history of transactions and transfer balances between that card and any others you might receive.
Things You'll Need
- Starbucks gift card
- Computer
Enter the Information
-
Go to the Starbucks website (see Resource). On the top menu of the homepage of the website, you will see "CARD." Move your mouse over that word and another menu pops up. In the second column, you will see "Register Your Card." Click on it and it will bring you to an additional page where you have the option to set up a Starbucks account.
-
Enter your card number. You will find this number on the back of the card. It is on the top, on the right side. Under that is a security code that you must also enter, but first you need to use a coin or key to scratch off the coating. You will then be asked to log on with your username and password. Your card will then be registered. If you do not have an account, you must follow Step 3 to create one.
-
Create an account at Starbucks. Choose a username and a password. Add in your city of birth so your password can be reset if you forget it. Enter your email address in the space provided and check the box if you wish to be on the Starbucks email list to receive offers and news. Check any additional boxes below if there is more information you would like to receive. Click "Create an Account." Your account will be set up and your card will be registered.
