How to Make Italian Sodas (5 Steps)

Italian sodas can be a sophisticated thirst quencher or a hit with kids at a picnic -- a treat they can make themselves.

Things You'll Need

  • Tall cold drink cups
  • Ice
  • Flavor syrups -- get an assortment! Often in the coffee aisle at grocery stores.
  • Sparkling water without salts. Perrier works well; club soda is too salty.
  • Half and half
  • Straws

Instructions

  1. Put ice in a tall drink cup.

  2. Add about an inch of the flavoring syrup of your choice.

  3. Pour in fizzy water to about an inch from the top of the cup.

  4. Optionally, add half and half.

  5. Add a straw. The straw is both for mixing and for drinking the soda.
