What whiskey is low in sugar?

Whiskey, by its nature, is very low in sugar. Here's why:

* The process: Whiskey is made by fermenting grains (like barley, corn, rye, or wheat) and then aging them in oak barrels. During fermentation, the sugars in the grains are converted into alcohol.

* Distillation: After fermentation, the mixture is distilled, which further removes any remaining sugars.

* Aging: The aging process in oak barrels continues to remove any remaining sugar, and the whiskey extracts flavors and tannins from the wood.

Therefore, most whiskeys are naturally very low in sugar. You won't find any significant amounts of sugar in a typical serving of whiskey.

Important Note: While whiskey itself is low in sugar, some flavored whiskeys (like those with caramel or honey) might contain added sugar. If you're concerned about sugar intake, stick to unflavored varieties.
