Will drinking water after tequila help dilute it or just cause more problems?
Drinking water after consuming tequila will not dilute the alcohol content in the body. Once alcohol enters the bloodstream, the liver processes it at a constant rate. Diluting the alcohol with water will not speed up this process. Water will help with hydration, but it won't prevent or reduce alcohol intoxication.
Additionally, it is generally not recommended to mix water and alcohol, as this combination can lead to a quicker and more intense absorption of alcohol into the bloodstream. This can result in more severe and rapid intoxication, as well as dehydration.
Consuming water before, during, and after drinking alcohol can help to prevent dehydration, but it will not dilute the alcohol or prevent its effects on the body. It is important to drink alcohol responsibly and in moderation to avoid potential health risks and negative consequences.
