Where does Jamaica gets their drinking water?

The majority of Jamaica's drinking water comes from rainwater that is collected in reservoirs and treated to remove impurities. The National Water Commission (NWC) is responsible for the distribution of drinking water to households and businesses in Jamaica. The NWC operates several water treatment plants across the island, which use a variety of treatment methods, including filtration, chlorination, and reverse osmosis. In addition to rainwater, Jamaica also obtains drinking water from springs, rivers, and wells. These water sources are also treated to ensure they are safe for human consumption.
