What evaporates in alcohol distillation?
In alcohol distillation, the liquid mixture containing alcohol and water is heated to a temperature where the alcohol evaporates, leaving the water behind. The alcohol vapor is then condensed back into a liquid, resulting in a higher concentration of alcohol. The boiling point of alcohol is lower than that of water, so it evaporates first.
