How do you tell if something is a fruit or vegible?

There is not always a clear distinction between fruits and vegetables. In common language use, however, "vegetable" is applied principally to plants consumed for their other parts, such as leaves, stems, and roots, while "fruit" is applied to those containing seeds and developing from the flower.
