How do you make Grape cordial?
Ingredients:
2 cups red grapes, stemmed and crushed
1 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
2 cloves
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup brandy (optional)
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, combine the grapes, sugar, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the grapes have softened and released their juice.
Strain the mixture into a bowl, pressing the solids with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.
Return the juice to the saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the juice has thickened slightly.
Stir in the lemon juice and brandy, if desired. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Store the cordial in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
To serve, mix the cordial with sparkling water or club soda. You can also add a slice of lemon or lime for garnish.
Enjoy!
