How is sweet lemonade made?

Ingredients:

- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 cup water

- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)

- 4 cups cold water

- Ice cubes

Instructions:

1. Make the simple syrup: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened and become syrupy. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

2. Combine the ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the simple syrup, lemon juice, and 4 cups cold water. Stir until combined.

3. Serve: Add ice cubes to glasses and pour the lemonade over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices. Enjoy!

Tips:

- For a sweeter lemonade, use more sugar. For a tarter lemonade, use less sugar.

- For a more flavorful lemonade, use fresh-squeezed lemon juice instead of bottled lemon juice.

- To make a sparkling lemonade, add some sparkling water or club soda to the lemonade before serving.

- For a refreshing summer treat, freeze lemonade in ice cube trays and enjoy as popsicles.

- To make a layered lemonade, add some lemon slices to the bottom of a glass, then pour in some lemonade. Repeat layers until the glass is full.
