What dissolves in orange juice and lemon juice?

Both orange juice and lemon juice contain citric acid, a weak organic acid which is highly soluble in water. When citric acid is dissolved in water, it dissociates into hydrogen ions (H+) and citrate ions (C6H5O73-). This dissociation causes the solution to become acidic, giving orange juice and lemon juice their characteristic tart flavour. In addition to citric acid, orange juice and lemon juice also contain other soluble compounds, such as sugars, vitamins, and minerals, which contribute to their nutritional value and flavour.
