Why a glass filled with cold beverage seems to sweat?

The "sweat" on a cold glass is actually condensation. Here's why it happens:

1. Warm, Moist Air: The air around the glass is typically warmer and contains a certain amount of moisture (humidity).

2. Cold Surface: The cold beverage chills the glass, making its surface temperature lower than the surrounding air.

3. Water Vapor Condensation: When the warm, moist air comes in contact with the cold glass, the water vapor in the air cools down. As it cools, it loses its ability to hold as much moisture. This excess moisture then condenses onto the cold glass surface, forming tiny water droplets.

This is the same process that causes dew to form on grass in the morning or fog to form in the air.
