Who founded coffee?

Coffee wasn't "founded" by a single person. Its discovery is often attributed to an Ethiopian goat herder named Kaldi who, according to legend, noticed his goats becoming energetic after eating berries from a specific tree. He then brought these berries to a nearby monastery, where monks brewed a drink from them and found it helped them stay awake during long hours of prayer.

However, the exact origins of coffee are debated. Some historians believe coffee was first discovered in Yemen, while others argue it was known in Ethiopia long before that.

Regardless of its precise origin, coffee cultivation and consumption gradually spread throughout the world over centuries, thanks to its stimulating effects and cultural significance.
