How much ground coffee for a oz French press?
For 8 ounces (a standard mug) of coffee:
- Coffee: 2 tablespoons (10 grams)
- Water: 1 cup (8 fluid ounces)
General Tip: A good rule of thumb is to use 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every 6 ounces (177 milliliters) of water. Adjust the amount of coffee to your preferred taste strength and French press size.
Extra Tip: For smoother coffee, use coarsely ground coffee. Finer grinds can result in grainy coffee as they are harder to filter with the French press.
