Where is coffee originated?
The earliest credible evidence of coffee drinking or knowledge of the coffee tree appears in the middle of the 15th century, by Sufi saint from Yemen called Gemal-uddin, who founded the Sufi religious order in Mocha. Other claim trace coffee's origin 8th-century Ethiopia, based on an Ethiopian legend involving a 9th-century Ethiopian goat herder called Kaldi in the Kaffa Region of Ethiopia. Coffee reached the Arabian Peninsula via Ethiopia and Sudan.
