What is a coffee latte?

A Caffè latte, often shortened to "latte" in English, is a coffee drink that is made with espresso and steamed milk. The espresso is typically one to two shots of espresso, and the milk is steamed until it is hot but not boiling. The latte is then served with a layer of foam on top, which is made up of microfoam from the steamed milk. This foam is what gives the latte its signature creamy texture and rich flavour.

Lattes are also a very versatile drink, and they can be easily customised with a variety of different flavours. For example, you can add chocolate syrup or caramel syrup to your latte, or you can use a different type of milk, such as soy milk or almond milk. Lattes are popular choice for breakfast or as a mid-day snack.
