How to Make a Champagne Margarita (8 Steps)

Summertime is a perfect time to try out some new refreshing cocktails. If you're like me, regular margaritas make my mouth curl a little and I don't particularly enjoy them. Here is my twist on a regular margarita that is elegant, simple, and delicious! This is a recipe for individual glasses but if you'd like to make a large pitcher for a party, you can use the same ratio.

Things You'll Need

  • A bottle of champagne (I use Korbel)
  • Tequila (I prefer Cazadores Blanco; don't go too cheap!)
  • Triple Sec
  • Limes
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Put ice in a shake (if you don't have a shaker you can use two glasses of the same size to pour back and forth in order to mix later).

  2. Place 1 ounce of tequila in the shaker over the ice.

  3. Add 1 ounce of triple sec.

  4. Add 3 ounces of champagne.

  5. Add the juice of about half of a lime.

  6. Shake your ingredients in the shaker or mix between two glasses.

  7. Pour mixture (minus the ice) into a champagne glass. Garnish with a lime if you please.

  8. Enjoy!
