Pink Cocktail Drinks
Whether you're planning a Valentine's Day soiree or just a girls' night with your closest friends, pink cocktails are the perfect complement to the occasion. Whether you like a pink vodka drink or a creamy pink liqueur, there's no shortage of pink-colored cocktails to choose from. Provide a variety of pink cocktails with different liquors, ensuring that everyone will find one they like.
Vodka Cocktails
-
To make a Pink Elephant vodka cocktail, combine 1 oz. vodka, 1 oz. cranberry juice, 1/2 oz. raspberry liqueur and 1/2 oz. lemon liqueur in a martini shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Another pink vodka cocktail, the Hot Pink Chihuahua combines two lemon wedges, three lime wedges and two maraschino cherries in a cocktail shaker. Muddle, or lightly mash, the fruit in the cocktail shaker, then add 1 1/2 oz. vodka, 3/4 oz. orange-flavored liqueur, a splash of grenadine and two splashes of sweet and sour mix. Add ice and shake well, then pour the mixture into a tall glass and serve.
Tequila Cocktails
-
For a pink tequila margarita, combine 1 1/2 oz. of a light-colored tequila, 1/4 oz. bitters, 1/2 oz. of fresh squeezed lemon juice and 1/2 oz. honey into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and pour into a margarita glass rimmed with salt and garnish with a mint leaf and a lime wedge. For a creamy pink cocktail, the Pink Russian combines 1 oz. of strawberry cream liqueur with 1 oz. of coffee-flavored liqueur and a 1/2 oz. of vodka in a cocktail glass filled with ice. Top off the drink with 1 oz. of cream or milk. Feel free to add more or less cream, to your taste.
Whiskey and Gin
-
For a classic pink gin martini, combine 2 oz. of gin, 1/2 oz. of guava nectar and 1/2 oz. orange juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a cold cocktail glass. Rub an orange peel twist around the rim, then drop it into the drink. For a pink whiskey drink, combine 1 1/2 oz. whiskey, two maraschino cherries and 2 tsp. of cherry juice in a tall glass filled with ice. Fill the glass with cranberry juice and top off with a splash of lemon-lime soda.
Rum
-
For a Pink Passion martini, combine 1 oz. light rum, 3 oz. pink lemonade, the juice of half a lemon and 1/4 oz. rose nectar in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass, then top with Champagne. Garnish with a rose petal.
