Butterball

• The butterball can be enjoyed either as a shooter or a cocktail. The shooter combines 1 part amaretto with 1 part butterscotch schnapps; the amaretto is added first, then the butterscotch schnapps is layered on top. The cocktail version, also known as the Kahlua butterball, combines 1 part Kahlua, 1 part milk and the desired amount of butterscotch schnapps.

Colorado Cow

• The Colorado cow is made by combining 2 ounces of Kahlua, 4 ounces of whole milk and 1/2 ounce of scotch; first, ice is added to a highball glass and the milk poured in, followed by the Kahlua, then the scotch on top. As you drink, the Kahlua and milk will move through the scotch, creating a delicious flavor reminiscent of butterscotch.

Copper Camel

• The Copper camel is just the thing when you have a hankering for butterscotch. It contains 1 ounce of Bailey’s Irish Cream to a shot glass and 1/2 ounce of butterscotch schnapps.

Butterscotch Slide

• The Butterscotch milkshake slide is truly a dessert in a cocktail glass, a sweet and rich ice creamy treat. It has 1 1/3 ounces of coffee liqueur, Bushmill's Irish Cream and butterscotch schnapps, plus 12 two ounces of milk and four to five ice cubes, placed in a blender and blended on high until it reaches the consistency of a milkshake. Serving the drink involves drizzling caramel on the inside of a chilled glass then pouring in the contents of the blender.

Buttered Brandy

• Buttered brandy is rich and creamy, just the thing to satisfy a sweet tooth, and contains 1 ounce of brandy, 1 ounce of bourbon whiskey, 2 ounces of butterscotch schnapps and 1/2 ounce of coffee liqueur. To serve the mixture is poured into a cocktail glass half-filled with ice, with water added if desired to mellow the flavors.

Nagel Nectar

• The Nagel nectar mixed drink is sweet, creamy treat that tastes like a chilled, liquid butterscotch candy and involves mixing equal parts butterscotch schnapps and milk with ice in a cocktail glass.
