Stephen Poplawski is credited with inventing the first electric blender in 1922. Poplawski's invention was a bulky device. In the 1930s, Fred Osius from Racine, Wisconsin, invented the first mass-produced blender. The Waring Company commercialized the invention and launched it in 1937 under the name "Waring Blendor."
