Why do you have foam instead of liquid beer from the kegerator?

Incorrect Installation

If the beer is coming out as foam, one simple explanation is that the keg may be installed incorrectly. Some kegerator models require the keg to be installed upside down, while others don’t. If your keg is installed incorrectly, check the manual to see what the correct orientation should be.

Over-Carbonated Beer

The excess foam might also be due to the level of carbonation in your beer. If the keg was pressurized during the initial setup or if the level of carbonation was too high to begin with, the beer will come out as foam. You might need to release excess pressure from the keg or wait until the beer has calmed down.

Temperature Variation

The beer might be too warm or too cold. Check the temperature gauge in your kegerator to make sure that the beer is within the recommended temperature range. If the temperature is too high, the beer will be flat and if it is too cold, it might be too thick and come out as foam.

Damaged CO2 Cartridge

If none of the above reasons caused your beer to come out foamy, the CO2 cartridge might be damaged. This is common if the cartridge was not properly connected to the keg during the initial setup or if it sustained some damage during that process.

Dirty Equipment

If you've eliminated all of the above possibilities, your keg equipment may be dirty. It's important to clean your keg equipment regularly to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold, which can affect the taste and quality of your beer.
