Do beer battered fries contain alcohol?

Beer battered fries may contain residual amounts of alcohol if they are made with uncooked beer batter and fried at temperatures not high enough to completely evaporate the alcohol content.

However, since most beer batters are cooked at elevated temperatures during the frying process, the alcohol present in the batter becomes negligible or non-existent by the time the fries are ready for consumption. The high heat causes most of the alcohol from the beer to either burn off or evaporates away.

When beer-battered fries are cooked properly, most, if not all, of the alcohol present in the batter should have vaporized during the cooking/frying process, resulting in very low or potentially even non-quantifiable alcohol content in the final product.
