Can Argon gas be used in place of CO2 for a beer keg?
Argon gas is inert and therefore will not dissolve into the beer. It will not create any issues with the taste or quality of the beer. However, it will not provide any carbonation. For this reason, argon is not a suitable replacement for CO2 for a beer keg.
