How long can you store cookies in the freezer?
Properly stored, cookies will generally stay at best quality for about 8 to 12 months in the freezer, but will remain safe beyond that time. The freezer time shown is for best quality only - cookies that have been kept constantly frozen at 0° F will keep safe indefinitely.
How to freeze cookies:
To further extend the shelf life of cookies, freeze them:
Place cookies in a freezer-safe airtight container or wrap tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil or freezer wrap.
Alternatively, individual cookies may be placed in freezer bags.
If freezing undecorated sugar cookies, freeze individually on baking sheets first before placing in airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent the cookies from sticking together.
