How to Make Perfect Pan Cookies

Things You'll Need

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. (2 sticks) softened butter
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • Groceries
  • 10-by-15-inch Jelly Roll Pans
  • Large Mixing Bowls
  • Mixing Spoons

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.

  2. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

  5. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

  6. Spread into greased 15-by-10-inch jelly roll pan.

  7. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Cool pan on wire rack.
